Mrs. Lane’s Class

This quarter has been busy, filled with projects and learning the location of the 50 states, their capitals and abbreviations. In honor of African-American History Month (February), students created award certificates recognizing famous African Americans for their contributions to society. Women were also recognized in a project entitled, Women Who Dare. For this assignment, students researched famous women scientists writing about the need to celebrate women.

The 5^th grade is anticipating the field trip to Philadelphia in June.
