4th Graders go to Washington
Mr. Tanenbaum and Mrs. Christie-Blick
The book featuring Mr. Tanenbaum's last trip to sea as a NOAA Teacher At Sea has come out. You can look at the book on-line here. Congratulations to Mrs. Christie-Blick's class who were invited by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to travel to Washington along with Mr. Tanenbaum for a reception related to the book's release as well as a tour of the City this coming May thanks to NOAA and the office of Representative Elliot Engle. The students will see the new Ocean Science Hall in the Smithsonian, and the National Mall. They will also have a tour of the Capitol Building thanks to Congressman Engle and his staff. Finally the students will speak at a round-table discussion during a reception attended by several members of congress as well as members of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Thanks to NOAA, Congressman Engle, the district, parents and students for helping put all this together. We can't wait to go!
