“Be a Buddy not a Bully”

That is our motto at Cottage Lane. It is part of a school wide initiative to reduce bullying behavior and to make our school a Bully Free Zone. We had a very successful “kick off” Bullying Assembly and our classroom meetings are under way!

Bullying behavior is not a rite of passage or a part of growing up.

Bullying = Peer Abuse

Remember the Rule of Thumb:

Bullying Behavior is….

Intentional.

Repeated.

Occurs because there is an imbalance of power.

One out of four students are victims of bullying.

Parents and Teachers can help so much by having conversations with their children about bullying behaviors.
