It's been a fruitful year for music at Cottage Lane. On June 9, the TZHS auditorium was SRO with 800 family members and friends for the CLE Instrumental Music Concert. The large ensembles were featured in addition to smaller groups and solos. "In order to keep the program at a reasonable length, we had to make some time limitations" said Mr. Charles Yassky, staff member, "but in a perfect world, we would like to give everyone their moment to shine".

Also included was the CLE Recorder Club, under the direction of Mrs. Kahn. Fresh from their invitation to play on stage at Carnegie Hall with the St. Luke 's Orchestra, they were featured in an encore performance of their repertoire from that program.

The Music Staff would like to thank all parents, staff and of course, the students for supporting this program. At first blush, over 200 third graders have enrolled in instrumental music for next year. This will put our program at over 300 students at CLE for 2009-10! Wow!
