The Rudin-Early Edition

By Mrs. Rudin and Mrs. Early

It certainly has been a very scientific year!  Our fourth grade scientists have explored everything from Electricity to Ecosystems, and we’ve saved the best unit of study for the end--Healthy Lifestyles!  Students have been learning about ways to keep themselves healthy now and for the rest of their lives.  Our scientists have also discovered how the digestion system works.  They learned how their bodies are like factories because each organ in their body has a different role to help break down foods.  Have a happy and healthy summer!  Stay fit!

There was much to be discussed about war this spring.  In Social Studies, we studied the Revolutionary War.  We debated whether or not the colonies should fight for their independence.  After the revolution, we debated how we should organize our government.  It was a heated discussion, but in the end, we agreed with the plan our forefathers set up.  Our classes voted to ratify the Constitution.

We would like to thank all the parents for their support.  You have made this year here at Cottage Lane very memorable.  It was wonderful to have all of you participate in our Memorial Day Picnic.  The food was fabulous!  It really showed us what a wonderful school community we have.  Have a wonderful summer!
