Directions for Downloading and Saving an Internet Picture

·       On the Internet, find the largest picture you can locate of your author or book cover. Please do not include any copyrighted items.

·       Position the cursor on top of the picture and click the right mouse button.

·       Move cursor to Save Picture As and click.

·       When the window opens, next to Save in: locate your folder name and put the name you want to call this file in the File name: box.

·       Click on Save.

·       Your picture is now saved under the file name and within the folder you just specified.

·       If you want to adjust the size of the picture there are some things you need to remember.

o     There is a limit to how much larger you can make a picture before it gets really fuzzy.

o     If you want to enlarge the picture, move the cursor to a corner. When a diagonal arrow appears, click and while holding down the mouse button drag the arrow towards the corner.

o     If you try to enlarge on a side, rather than the corner, you will distort the picture. If this happens, just click on the Undo typing arrow on the toolbar, or click on Edit on the menu and scroll down to Undo typing. You will go back to the previous version. You can keep going back steps until you get back to the correct image.
