Ever wonder what it would be like to live in a different country? Check out these sites!

AFRICA See photos of children in some African countries at school and at play. Read about their lives. How are their lives similar/different from yours?

AMAZON JUNGLE Join Ms. Christie-Blick in the Amazon Jungle in Ecuador, South America.

ASIA Visit several countries in Asia. Each one is very different. Check out Oyanga's horse. She is only 7 years old, but she has her own horse to ride into town.

CHINA Lots of fun and fantastic links to sites about China and Chinese culture. See what your name looks like written in Chinese characters. View videos of China. Lots to learn!

EUROPE Learn about the lives of kids living in countries in eastern Europe. Check out Gabriel's pumpkins he grew himself!

GALAPAGOS ISLANDS Join Ms. Christie-Blick in the Galapagos Islands, off the coast of Ecuador in South America. She was there as part of a teacher group, sponsored by the University of San Diego, studying the ecosystems of the islands.

HONG KONG Join Ms. Christie-Blick in Hong Kong, working at Yew Chung International School for three weeks, as part of the Global Educators Program.

JAPAN  Join Ms. Christie-Blick as she visits schools in Japan for three weeks, as part of the Fulbright Memorial Fund Teacher Program.

NEW ZEALAND Join Ms. Christie-Blick during her year living in New Zealand, and visiting their schools as part of the Global Educators Program. Be sure to look at the map page to help orient yourself.

TEST YOUR VOCABULARY and earn rice to help ease world hunger. A company will donate 10 grains of rice to poor countries for every answer you get right. This is a win-win situation! Note that it will tell you the correct meaning of the word if you get it wrong. Memorize it because it will test you on that same word again later. You can also change the level to give yourself harder words to help you learn more.
