Tappan Zee High School English Department

The English Department at Tappan Zee High School seeks to make its students life-long readers and writers. The curriculum is designed to help the individual develop reading, writing, speaking, listening, and thinking skills through the study of literature, language, composition, media, and oral communication arts.

The English faculty is committed to preparing students to be contributing, responsible, and thoughtful members of society by presenting them with learning experiences which will challenge them to develop their language abilities to the highest level possible.
